Monica Guthrie Purchase has worked in some capacity of Head Start and Early Head Start for over 25 years in roles including classroom teacher, Inclusion Coach, trainer and more. Prior to her current position as Education Coordinator for Start Early’s Early/Head Start Network, she helped lead and train teachers as an Inclusion Coach.

She is also the mother of two adult sons and grandmother to one granddaughter. Monica loves the work that she does for children and families, but is a “creative” at heart. Even in the way she goes about her work at Start Early. She uses her personality, positive energy and creative ideas to create new and effective ways to better our programs. She loves music, dancing and thinking outside of the box.
