Mina Hong is a director on the Start Early Consulting team, providing policy and advocacy consulting focused on strengthening high-quality, equitable and inclusive early childhood systems. In this role, Mina has supported statewide prenatal-to-three advocacy coalitions, implementation of shared governance systems, as well as federal and state partners focused on supporting families with young children with disabilities and developmental delays including in states such as Michigan, New York, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
reviously, Mina was a Senior Policy Associate at Michigan’s Children where she played a key role in state budget and policy wins for young children; supported diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at the University of Michigan and New Detroit, Inc.; and has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Mina serves on the Early On® Michigan Foundation Board of Directors. Mina holds a dual master’s degree in social work and public policy from the University of Michigan. Mina and her family call Ann Arbor, Michigan home.
