Chris Sciarrino, MA, works as the Director of Early Childhood Practice and Innovation at Start Early. She works to bring simplicity to practitioners by designing high leverage tools and processes that address the complexity of the field and the many barriers that exist to implementing theory into practice. She recently applied out of the box thinking using principles of human-centered design and rapid cycle inquiry to co-design a professional learning booster tool in response to a problem of practice she observed in the application of training content: Reflectable. Reflectable is a technology enabled innovation used to supplement traditional PD models. It uniquely capitalizes on the power of the teacher to self-reflect on a weekly basis to adjust practices and build self-efficacy in teaching.
Chris most recently worked in higher education conducting grounded theory research to create a new articulation of best practices for early childhood instructional leaders.
