the challenge

Quality early learning programs that drive positive outcomes are still too rare.

Our vision: Start Early envisions a future in which all children and families have access to early childhood settings and services where their unique learning and developmental needs are nurtured.

We’re committed to supporting educators through two areas of focus: improving quality through professional learning and offering competitive compensation to strengthen the workforce.

Deliver High-Quality Programming

We directly impact families through hands-on support and innovative programming. We research, develop and pilot new strategies to improve quality within Head Start, Early Head Start and Home Visiting programs. We also invest in professional learning for staff across directly operated programs, improving the quality of educational services.

why this matters

Key Benefits for Families

Start Early’s programs connect families to community resources, ensuring that they receive the customized support needed to nurture their young children. Research shows that when families are actively engaged in their children’s learning—both in and out of school—parents are better equipped to support their child’s development and long-term success.
