Lauren Allen provides strategic, analytical, and operational support to Start Early’s Washington Policy team.

They bring nearly a decade of advocacy expertise at the local, state, and administrative levels across a variety of issue areas. Previously, Lauren served as session staff in the Washington State Senate and as a political communications consultant for non-profit organizations across Washington state.

Through their work in community engagement and legislative campaigns, Lauren has witnessed the transformative impact that accessible early learning has on families and communities. They are dedicated to ​‌ensuring that all children receive the quality care and education they deserve, laying the groundwork for a more just society.

Lauren is a graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, and Public Policy.
