Jessica Teng is an Assistant Director on the Start Early Consulting Team. In her role, Jessica provides consultation to early childhood system leaders and advocates at the state and community-level to build high-quality and equitable prenatal to five systems; she also supports operations of the consulting practice. Since joining Start Early in 2014, Jessica has held multiple roles in the organization and contributed to numerous projects, including those focused on family engagement, technology-based supports and preschool quality. She has also served as interim chief of staff in the Office of President. Prior to 2014, Jessica worked in state and local government, spending time in the California State Legislature, the City of Ypsilanti, Michigan and the Illinois State Board of Education.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and history and a master of public policy, both from the University of Michigan. Jessica calls Chicago her home.
