Jessica Barreca is an Early Childhood Disability Policy Manager at Start Early. She works across multiple teams and external partners to advance the early childhood disability priorities of the organization in Illinois, in states and communities across the country, and at the federal level. Jessica has 20 years of experience as a physical therapist (PT) working with children and families in early intervention, community organizations, schools, and clinics. Previously, Jessica was a faculty member in the Department of PT at the University of Illinois – Chicago and at Saint Louis University (SLU) was a program manager in Interprofessional Education and is currently adjunct faculty in PT. Jessica has a master’s degree in PT from Marquette University, a doctorate of PT from Shenandoah University, and a PhD in public and social policy from SLU. Jessica is a board member for the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank and co-founder of Switched Adaptive Toys at SLU.
