Andrea “Andie” Mackin leads development and communications for Start Early Washington, advancing partnerships and investments that strengthen early learning and home visiting systems across the state.

Her work focuses on mobilizing philanthropy, elevating the voices of children and families, and supporting policies and programs that expand opportunity from prenatal through age five. Andie brings extensive experience in philanthropy, community engagement, and mission-driven communications, with previous leadership roles at Special Olympics USA Games, United Way Worldwide, and organizations focused on early childhood and family well-being.

A firm believer in lifelong learning, Andie credits her four grown children with teaching her that parenting is the toughest job you will ever love.
