Together for Young Children with Disabilities: Resources for Advocates

Together for Young Children with Disabilities is Start Early’s national campaign to advance inclusive early childhood systems that support infants, toddlers, and young children with disabilities and developmental delays—and the families who care for them.

February 4, 2026

Overview

Start Early has launched Together for Young Children with Disabilities — a new campaign to strengthen national advocacy for young children with disabilities and their families. Building on decades of advocacy experience, Start Early is helping to unite and equip the field by:

  • Convening a national coalition of advocates and organizations committed to advancing inclusion and support for young children with disabilities;
  • Providing technical assistance to state and local leaders on the front lines; and
  • Developing and sharing advocacy tools, resources and webinars to help early childhood professionals, policymakers and supporters take action.

What We’re Working Toward

Together for Young Children with Disabilities focuses on:

  • Strengthening early childhood systems so children with disabilities can access timely, high-quality, inclusive supports from birth through age five
  • Building state advocacy capacity through shared learning, connection, and technical assistance
  • Elevating federal and state policy priorities that promote inclusion and family well-being
  • Connecting advocates across sectors and states to align strategies and accelerate change
